Champion Sound is a music school in Portland, specifically focusing on Music Production using Ableton Live. Over the last 16 years, instructors Anthony and Isaac have traveled around America and Europe teaching music production and sound editing at various schools, workshops and lectures. These years of combined experience have allowed them to create a very effective and easy-to-follow curriculum. No prior experience needed.

The 1 month online intensive courses, and One-On-One sessions allow users to start with the very basics, and move towards more advanced Ableton production techniques. Each month there are a series of 8 classes, each 2 hours in duration. Click the images below, for a day-to-day overview of the topics covered. Addition to the classes, we provide you with, Ableton templates, Custom presets/packs and access to our Splice sound bank. Any student enrolled in our programs, will receive access to our Ableton Educational discounts for software and hardware.

Tim Linetsky

Tim has been training in classical piano since the age of 7, Underbelly has been producing electronic music for over a decade. His YouTube channel, You Suck at Producing, has now over 320,000 subscribers. Underbelly is also an Ableton Certified Trainer, and has worked closely with the company to produce tutorial videos and educational content. His original productions have garnered millions of plays on Spotify, and in 2020, he released his debut album Machine Yearning to critical acclaim.

ANDREW HAAK  Andrew is an alternative electronic artist and sound designer who has recently co-authored an Ableton Live 10 textbook, released a sample pack via Noiiz, and taught sound design at Pyramind while pursuing his passion for music production. He loves futuristic sounds that can only be made using electronic instruments and modern processing techniques, but has also found a wealth of inspiration in heavily manipulating acoustic instruments, human voices, and field recordings with software to create hybrid organic/digital sounds. Andrew Haak

Andrew is an alternative electronic artist and sound designer who has recently co-authored an Ableton Live 10 textbook, released a sample pack via Noiiz, and taught sound design at Pyramind while pursuing his passion for music production. He loves futuristic sounds that can only be made using electronic instruments and modern processing techniques, but has also found a wealth of inspiration in heavily manipulating acoustic instruments, human voices, and field recordings with software to create hybrid organic/digital sounds.

Tony Welter


Tony has been an Audio/Video Editor, Recording Engineer and Production Manager in film and television for over 17 years. Starting from a music background, Tony has toured all over Europe, Asia and America performing and DJ-ing his music. Aside from a strong Electronic music and Hip Hop background, Tony was a studio drummer for various artists while living in Los Angeles.

Setareh Mofidi

Currently based in Portland ,Oregon, Setareh produces and performs under “Herates”. She constantly experiments with different methods to expand her skills as a musician and doesn't bound herself to be known for producing a specific genre. Aside from her love for everything "sound" related, she loves teaching others how to incorporate Ableton Live in their process via Ableton workshops and “Music and Sonic Arts” courses that she teaches in Portland Community College.
